In 1973 I joined a small agricultural supply company and soon became a director and after a while was running 90 per cent of the company. I divorced in 1977 and lived on my own for three years. I was let down by my fellow directors so when I was approached to start a new company I jumped at the chance. This was successful for two years until the parent company was taken over and I had to look for another occupation. I

bought a small business restoring old motorcycle and car instruments which has proved successful for the last ten years. I married again in 2000.
